My Experience
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was one of those games I’ve played on many games and formats, most notably on handhelds on the Gameboy Advance. However since growing my collection again I have picked up this version as I look to grow my complete Harry Potter collection and its a interesting take playing as an RPG style game.
About
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone on the Gameboy Color was one of the 5 variations/versions of this game. While all are somewhat based on the book/story/movie, each version varies slightly.
This version of the game is a role-playing style game, similar to games like Pokémon and Final Fantasy. The game starts from Diagon Alley, after that following the story of the book closely with a large number of the scenes on point from the book being playable, including the hogwarts express, boat scene etc. except there is the addition of a number of monsters to battle during the story. Spells in the game are used in the RPG style combat during the game.
